Aaron B. Harnett, BA, LL.B, graduated from Queen’s University Law School in 1990 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. After completing his articles at Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt, he has been practicing exclusively in the field of criminal law since he was called to the bar in 1992.

He has an impressive track record, including notable cases such as the landmark R. v. Parker decision legalizing medical marijuana by the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada’s R. v. Fink case which struck down provisions governing the searches of law offices (s.488.1 of the Criminal Code), and the high-profile murder trial in the death of Toronto police officer William Hancox.

As a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Criminal Lawyers Association, Aaron B. Harnett is licensed to practice law in Ontario. With his extensive experience, he provides legal advice to firearms owners and can guide them through the complex regulations and related offences. He has also represented companies facing criminal and quasi-criminal investigations.
