Andy’s expertise is in intellectual property law, with a focus on patent litigation, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry. He is a partner at Heenan Blaikie LLP in Toronto, and is a member of several organizations including the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, IPIC’s Litigation Committee, the Advocates’ Society, and the Ontario Bar Association. Andy has been invited as a guest lecturer at the University of Toronto’s patents course, and frequently contributes to seminars and publications on Federal Court practice and procedure. He was also interviewed by Canadian Lawyer magazine for an article in 2010 regarding proposed changes to rules governing the introduction of expert evidence in Federal Court cases.
