ARTA, short for ART + ARCHITECTURE, is a design firm founded by Arnold Yok Fai Wong and Tat Lai Wong in 2021. The firm’s approach is to combine the thought-provoking and experiential qualities of art with the functionality and spatiality of architecture to create unexpected and innovative designs that stimulate thoughts, emotions, and senses.

With a strong background in architecture and extensive experience in the commercial, residential, and hospitality sectors in Hong Kong, both co-founders bring a wealth of expertise to ARTA. They possess in-depth knowledge of local building codes and regulations, contract and construction administration, and a holistic understanding of the opportunities and constraints of each project, ensuring that all projects are realized in accordance with the design intent and in a timely manner.

ARTA’s work has been internationally and locally recognized, including exhibitions at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021, winning the HKIA Young Architect Award in 2020, and winning awards in the Development Bureau’s Victoria Harbour Word Art Competition and Harbourfront Furniture Competition in 2020, as well as the Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award in 2014.

The firm’s multidisciplinary approach encompasses architecture, interior design, art installations, and social design, with a focus on continual learning and inspiration from each field to evolve and expand their creative minds.
