Joy is a commercial litigation and employment law lawyer who founded her own independent law firm in 1993 after working at Blake, Cassels, and Graydon for seven years. She specializes in contract disputes, creditor and collection claims, shareholder rights, commercial fraud, professional negligence, and estate litigation. In employment law, she represents employers and employees in wrongful dismissal claims, employment standards, and human rights complaints, and advises on discipline and severance arrangements. She is also involved in issues concerning diversity and inclusion, equity, discrimination, and the status of women in the legal profession.
