Peter is an experienced corporate/commercial lawyer who has been practicing for several years. He specializes in private mergers and acquisitions, financial institutions, shareholders agreements, and transportation law. Peter has represented major financial institutions in credit agreements and security transactions.
Previously, Peter was the Managing Partner of McMillan Binch and was the lead counsel for the consortium that assumed the management and control of the St. Lawrence Seaway. He also managed the McMillan Binch team in preparing and negotiating complex agreements with the Government of Canada, including letters patents, by-laws, and governance procedures relating to the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation.
Peter has served as a former member of the Board of Directors of the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation, representing the Province of Ontario, and as a former member of the Board of Trustees of the National Gallery of Canada. He has chaired the Governance Committees of both entities.
Peter has been ranked in the Guide to the World’s Leading Shipping Maritime Lawyers, Lexpert, and Best Lawyers in Canada.
