Chris Sewrattan is an accomplished criminal defense lawyer who has extensive experience in conducting trials and appeals at all levels of court. He has successfully defended a wide range of criminal charges, from impaired driving to murder. Chris combines rigorous preparation with a thorough understanding of the law in developing his litigation strategies. He also takes a personalized approach with his clients, working closely with them throughout their case to ensure they understand their options and can effectively navigate their legal challenges.

Chris has an impressive academic background in law, holding both a Juris Doctor degree and a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, as well as an Honours Bachelor’s degree in criminology from the University of Toronto. He was recognized for his academic excellence by receiving numerous course awards for finishing first in his Juris Doctor program classes.

Beyond his legal practice, Chris remains active in legal research and writing. He is a professor in the paralegal program at Sheridan College and has published several articles on criminal law in academic legal journals, including the UBC Law Review, Criminal Law Quarterly, and Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues. Chris is also a member of various committees, including the Sexual Assault Program Referral List, the Criminal Lawyers Association Intervention Committee, and he has previously served on the Osgoode Hall Law School admissions committee. Additionally, he serves as a member of the License Appeal Tribunal, which resolves disputes arising from automobile accident benefits.
