Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a rich history dating back to before the 21st century BC, making it a comprehensive and integrated medical system. With thousands of years of practice and development, TCM possesses unique theories and approaches to health. Modern research has increasingly shown that Chinese medicine has distinctive effects on various forms of ailments.

As people seek alternative ways to achieve wellness without the side effects of long-term use or high dosage of antibiotics, steroids, painkillers, and other synthetic drugs, Chinese medicine has gained popularity in Western countries. It is estimated that a quarter of the world’s population currently uses Chinese medicine worldwide, with the United Kingdom seeing it as the most popular complementary medicine. Almost half of the population, 47% of those surveyed, have used or are considering the use of complementary medicine. Recent news on TV and radio also highlight that the NHS is considering the use of Chinese medicine to address issues such as pain, asthma, eczema, and reduce waiting lists due to the shortage of doctors.

Chinese medicine utilizes natural plants and minerals as medicinal materials, making it safer with fewer side effects compared to chemical synthetic drugs. A well-trained practitioner not only uses traditional diagnostic methods but can also integrate conventional Western medicine approaches.
